UConn men’s soccer goalie Josh Ford was selected by the Seattle Sounders in the first round of the 2011 MLS Supplemental Draft yesterday. He was selected with the 11th pick of the draft after being passed over in the 2011 MLS Superdraft that took place on Jan. 13.
Ford was the only UConn player selected in the draft, and now joins Kwame Watson-Siriboe, Toni Stahl, O’Brian White and other UConn alum in the MLS.
